Beginning Theatre FUNdamentals

Literature comes to life as performers turn their favorite fairy tales and children’s stories into mini-productions of theatre!  Students will learn the basics of stage movement, voice and character development all while having fun and getting real experience on “the big stage”.  Creative dramatics, improv games and story theatre will all be a daily part of this fun, intensive workshop geared for budding young actors with a flair for the dramatic!

All staff members are highly qualified teachers and Little Theatre regulars with a desire to help young performers develop their talents. The instructors are all certified theatre arts teachers who have taught in public and private schools and bring many years of theatre education, directing, professional and community theatre experience to the children of Gaston County.  This workshop will be held June 23-27, 2008 from 9am-12pm.  It is for rising 1^st through rising 6^th grade students only. Students from all schools are welcome! Price is $85.
